This morning, December 14th, the Vietnam National Payment Corporation (NAPAS), Mastercard, and Vietnam Community Online Services Joint Stock Company (Payoo) held a ceremony to present free screenings for three types of cancer—breast, cervical, and ovarian cancer—along with HPV virus testing packages to vulnerable women in Hanoi as part of the social welfare program "Touching, Sharing, Giving Hope."

At the ceremony, NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo donated 2,010 HPV virus screening and testing packages – a modern screening method that helps detect the risk of cervical cancer early.

Of the 2,010 screening slots, 1,000 were allocated to the Vietnam Women's Union for management, and 1,010 were given to the Youth Union of the Management Board of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City to be distributed directly to vulnerable women working in export processing zones and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, and self-employed women from other provinces living and working in these localities.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union, said that the increasing rate of cancer among women is due to many factors, including a lack of knowledge and a complacent attitude, reluctance to have regular health check-ups, or difficult economic conditions, leading to late-stage diagnosis... In this context, supporting vulnerable women to receive early cancer screening is an extremely practical activity.

Therefore, the screening packages distributed today will help women, especially migrant workers, self-employed women, poor women, and women in difficult circumstances, to access screening services, reduce the financial burden, and improve the chances of early disease detection.

Payoo CEO Ngo Trung Linh further informed that the program continues to cooperate with like-minded organizations and businesses to build annual social welfare activities, bringing more opportunities to disadvantaged people, as well as contributing to the sustainable development of the country.
