According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 4:00 a.m. on July 5, the center of the storm was located at about 20.1 degrees North latitude; 117.4 degrees East longitude. Intensity: level 8 (62–74 km/h), gusting to level 10. Direction and speed of movement: moving slowly in the West Northwest direction, speed about 5–10 km/h.
