
The workshop took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the War Remnants Museum (September 4, 1975 - September 4, 2025), the 23rd anniversary of the International Day of Peace (September 21, 2002 - September 21, 2025), the 41st anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Committee (December 10, 1984 - December 10, 2025), gathering many scholars, experts, researchers, diplomats, peace activists, veterans at home and abroad to participate.

According to MSc. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh - Deputy Director in charge of management and operation of the War Remnants Museum, the workshop is not only an opportunity to look back on the 50-year journey of formation and development of the unit but also a forum to promote dialogue and build international cooperation. With 67 presentations received, the workshop focused on 3 major groups of topics.
Part 1 - "The Vietnamese people's aspiration for peace: Historical value and contemporary significance" , with the content affirming the values, traditions of patriotism and love of peace of the Vietnamese people, the characteristics of Vietnam's peace. Thereby, highlighting the role of the Museum in preserving memories, propagating, educating the traditional values of the nation and building peace.
Part 2 - “War Remnants Museum: 50 years of spreading peace” delves into the influence of the site. Beyond its role as a repository and display, the Museum has become a symbol of reconciliation and humanity, as well as an important cultural symbol of Ho Chi Minh City.
Part 3 - "War Remnants Museum on the journey to continue writing the story of peace" with 28 articles, providing many orientations and solutions on preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the era of national growth.

According to Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Committee, the War Remnants Museum is currently attracting a large number of domestic and international visitors. This shows that the unit has performed well in its role as a bridge between the past, present and future.
Through the workshop, she hopes that the museum will continue to carry out its mission for peace, educating generations on peace; convincingly affirming to the world the steadfast commitment of the Vietnamese people and State to peace.
