With the goal of improving the qualityof education in mountainous areas, helping teachers and students in ethnic minority areas to have spacious, solid schools, warm in winter and cool in summer, helping them to ease the hardships and difficulties in life, VietNamNet newspaper organized a program to build schools in mountainous areas in 2025. The program was implemented with the support and 100% funding from Giao Hang Tiet Kiem Joint Stock Company (GHTK).

During the site survey, VietNamNet and GHTK decided to choose Binh Lang school, part of Doc Lap Primary School (Doc Lap commune, Cao Bang province) to implement the program. The total cost to implement this project is 400 million VND.

Doc Lap Primary School has Binh Lang campus located in hamlet 3 with especially difficult socio -economic conditions. Most of the classrooms are seriously degraded and have not been allocated funds for renovation and repair.

Binh Lang school has 5 classes with 121 students. The economic conditions here are still difficult, many students are from poor and near-poor households. The school was invested in construction in 2000 and put into use in 2001 with 2 rows of level 4 houses.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hang, Vice Principal in charge of Doc Lap Primary School, said that during the process of use, the current Binh Lang school has expired and is seriously degraded, not ensuring safety for teachers and students.

Faced with the above situation, Ms. Hang expressed that the support of VietNamNet and GHTK newspapers for funding the construction and renovation of schools is of particular importance in creating a safe school space for teachers and students.

"This is the wish of the school and parents. When completed, the project will be a special gift for the new school year opening ceremony," said Ms. Hoang Thi Hang.

According to the plan, VietNamNet newspaper and GHTK will sponsor the construction of new classrooms and renovation of classroom blocks at Binh Lang school.

It is known that this is the second time the program to build a school in the highlands has been organized by VietNamNet and GHTK newspapers. On September 5, 2024, the opening day of the school year, VietNamNet and GHTK newspapers inaugurated Dan To school in Ta Mung commune (Lai Chau province). Dan To school started construction in April 2024 with the following items: Building a new classroom, installing an outdoor playground system, and auxiliary works.

VietNamNet Newspaper and Giao Hang Tiet Kiem inaugurated a school in Lai Chau. At the old school built from plywood, which leaked water in the rainy season and was hot in the summer, the new school named Dan To was inaugurated on the opening day of the new school year in Ta Mung commune, Than Uyen district, Lai Chau province.
