On the evening of January 4, according to a source from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense temporarily detained Mr. Ngo Van Phang, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cadovimex Seafood Import-Export Processing Joint Stock Company (CDOV Company).
Mr. Phang was prosecuted for investigation of fraud and property appropriation related to bank loans and was extradited to Can Tho City.
On the same day, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense also issued a decision to prosecute two officers of a bank with a branch in Ca Mau .
As reported, in relation to the above incident, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of National Defense has temporarily detained Ms. Pham Thi Huong, former General Director of CDV Company; Mr. Tang Gia Phong, former Deputy General Director of CDV Company.
In addition to the above people, three former leaders of CDV Company were also prosecuted but released on bail.
