The First Concubine Ho Thi Chi was the wife of King Khai Dinh. She was famous for her beauty, intelligence, playing musical instruments, and fluency in French, Chinese, and Vietnamese. She was the daughter of Minister of Education Ho Dac Trung and Chau Thi Ngoc Luong, from Chuon village (Phu An commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien - Hue province).
