Chinese man arrested for stealing phones in Quang Ninh

On the afternoon of October 27, Mong Cai City Police ( Quang Ninh ) announced that the unit had detained Huang Guang Cheng (48 years old, residing in Hung Nhai Town, Tay Tru District, Yunnan Province, China) for theft of property.

Previously, at around 10:25 a.m. on October 22, Mong Cai City Police received a report from Mr. Nguyen Van Tam about a thief breaking into his store and stealing 8 iPhones.

When reporting to the police, Mr. Tam suspected that a Chinese man had stolen phones from his store. Earlier, on the morning of October 21, a Chinese man came to Mr. Tam’s store to pawn 8 phones and had the same identifying characteristics as the security camera images.

After receiving the report, Mong Cai City Police investigated and identified the thief as Huang Guang Cheng. After stealing the phone number from Mr. Tam's store, Huang Guang Cheng sold it to Mr. Ta Trong H. (27 years old, residing in Ngoc Phuc village, Ngoc Liep commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi ).

At the police station, Ta Trong H. admitted to buying 10 iPhone brand mobile phones; including 8 phones that Huang Guang Cheng stole from Mr. Nguyen Van Tam; and handed them over to serve the investigation.

Mong Cai City Police have temporarily detained Huang Guang Cheng; at the same time, they continue to investigate and collect documents as a basis for handling Ta Trong H. for purchasing property stolen by Huang Guang Cheng.
