The results of a new poll released by The New York Times/Siena College on October 10 show that the Republican Party is leading the Democratic Party in the US Senate races in the states of Montana, Texas and Florida.
Reporters in the US quoted experts as saying that the above results show a high possibility that the Republican Party will take control of the Senate from the Democratic Party this fall. Currently, the Democratic Party holds a majority of 51 seats in the Senate. However, the decision of Senator Joe Manchin (West Virginia) not to run for re-election has put the Democratic Party at risk of losing more seats. Their only hope is to maintain a 50-50 balance.

Sen. Jon Tester of Montana, one of the most troubled Democrats, trails Republican Tim Sheehy, a wealthy businessman and former Navy SEAL, 52% to 44%. Montana, with a population of about 1.1 million, has seen a huge amount of money poured into this year's Senate race. More than $265 million has been spent on TV ads related to the race, according to AdImpact. In Montana, former President Donald Trump leads Vice President Harris by a wide margin (57% to 40%). That's similar to Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte's advantage over Democratic challenger Ryan Busse (57% to 35%). In Texas, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz leads Democratic challenger Colin Allred by 48% to 44%. In Florida, Republican Sen. Rick Scott leads Democratic challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell 49%-40%.qdnd.vn
