Closing Ceremony of the 2nd Son La Province Dance and Folk Dance Festival, 2025

The performance "Medley of Three Regions - Southern Land" was performed at the closing night.

This is the second time the Dance and Folk Dance Festival has been held on a province-wide scale. This year's festival attracted the participation of 9 groups from communes and wards in the province with 30 clubs, nearly 500 contestants, bringing 20 folk dance performances and 17 dance performances.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the first prize to the dance and folk dance art troupe of To Hieu ward.

Second prize awarded to the Song Ma Commune Dance and Folk Dance Art Troupe.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the clubs participating in this year's festival have prepared carefully and thoroughly, bringing quality performances, diverse in genres, rich in content and performance forms; good performance style, novel, creative, entertaining and imbued with the cultural identity of Son La's ethnic groups.

In the folk dance competition, the clubs brought vibrant group performances, clear in content and theme, elaborately staged, impressively coordinated music . The dance competition was performed by the teams in a variety of genres: Chachacha, Bebop, Bachata, Rumba, Tango, Flamenco, Valse, Samba, Paso Doble, Jive...

This year’s folk dance festival continues to attract contestants of many ages, who are active in “Intergenerational Self-Help” clubs, folk dance clubs, and sports dance clubs in the localities. The teams have prepared carefully, bringing a vibrant atmosphere, spreading civilized and modern beauty, creating a good impression in the hearts of the audience.

At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee selected 10 best performances to perform at the closing night; awarded the First Prize to the Dance and Folk Dance Art Troupe of To Hieu Ward, awarded 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and 1 Consolation Prize to the troupes participating in the festival; awarded 21 A prizes, 16 B prizes for excellent performances; awarded 3 subsidiary prizes to excellent actors; excellent choreographers, stage directors and the club with the most impressive performance costumes.
