Closing Ceremony of the Performance Class, teaching basic skills of Ede rhyming words

On September 6, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the Closing Ceremony of the Performance Class, teaching basic skills on rhyming words (Klei Due) of the Ede people in Cuor Dang commune (Cu M'gar district).

During the past 2 months, 22 students participating in the class were taught by artisans the basics of rhyming words, folk literature, intangible cultural values ​​and skills when performing and singing rhyming words; how to improvise and be creative in the art of performing folk culture rhyming words; introducing songs using rhyming words that are frequently used in daily life...

In addition to content related to rhyming words, the artisans also teach students how to play bronze gongs and bamboo gongs.

Up to now, students have grasped the basics and can perform rhyming genres such as singing Ei Rei, K'ut, and dialogue...

From the rhyme teaching class, the artisans have discovered talented individuals who can perform difficult melodies; after the class ends, they will continue to provide advanced training; in order to create a younger generation to continue inheriting and preserving the traditional cultural identity of the nation.

Students presented their learning results at the Closing Ceremony.

The funding for organizing the class is part of the Project "Preserving and promoting intangible cultural heritage in Dak Lak province" sponsored by the Jeollabuk International Cooperation Center (Korea) in 2023. Cu M'gar is one of 5 units benefiting from the Project.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and leaders of the People's Committee of Cu M'gar district awarded certificates to students.

At the closing ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates to 22 students who completed the course.

The folk literature "Rhymed speech of the Ede people" (Cu M'gar district) was announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022.
