Bac NinhQuan Ho Folk Song Theater is built on a land area of over 19,000 m2 in Viem Xa village, Hoa Long commune, Bac Ninh city - the birthplace of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs. The project started in 2016 and was completed in 2020. The front of the theater is inspired by the traditional communal house roof, with a 2-layer covering, the bamboo on the outside has motifs from Ba Tam conical hats. The project was designed by three architects Ngo Trung Hai, Tran Hoang Hai Nam, and Tran Anh Son, and was evaluated by the Jury of the 15th National Architecture Awards as "creative, impressive, and deeply expressive". The leader of the Bac Ninh Department of Construction said that the theater's architectural plan was organized by the province from May to July 2016. After two rounds of competition, four plans were selected to contribute to the current theater design. Inside the theater, there are 341 chairs and 185 tables crafted by artisans from Dong Ky village. The total cost is 6.3 billion VND. The seating system is adjusted to place a tea table between two seats. This is an extremely bold and different solution in the design of theater and cinema spaces. This is a suitable space for artists to "interact" and "offer water and betel" to the audience - a cultural feature of Kinh Bac Quan Ho people. The theater regularly organizes Quan Ho singing programs to serve the people and tourists coming to Bac Ninh. Leaders of Bac Ninh province and international diplomatic delegations enjoy Quan Ho at Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.
