On behalf of the State and people of Vietnam, President Luong Cuong warmly welcomed Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra and the high-ranking delegation of the Royal Thai Government on their official visit to Vietnam; congratulated the great achievements that the Government and people of Thailand have achieved in recent times, especially in economic recovery and development, gradually solving social problems, improving people's lives and increasingly enhancing the role and position of Thailand in the region and in the international arena.

The President highly appreciated the resumption of the joint Cabinet meeting mechanism between the two Prime Ministers after nearly nine years, demonstrating the determination of both sides to promote bilateral cooperation more deeply, substantially and effectively, meeting the new development requirements of each country as well as adapting to the new situation of the world.
Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra sincerely thanked President Luong Cuong, senior leaders and people of Vietnam for the warm welcome given to the delegation and the Prime Minister himself; and was pleased to inform President Luong Cuong of the successful results of the fourth joint Cabinet meeting between the two countries, in which the two sides discussed and agreed on many bilateral cooperation issues as well as signed many cooperation documents in many fields.
Affirming the consistent implementation of the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of relations, and being an active and responsible member of the international community, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to and wish to promote the friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Thailand; highly appreciated the successful results of the fourth meeting of the Vietnam-Thailand Joint Cabinet , especially the fact that the two sides announced the upgrading of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening a new stage of cooperation between the two countries, which will increasingly develop more deeply and effectively.

President Luong Cuong suggested that the two sides closely coordinate and effectively implement the contents of the new relationship framework, including expanding delegation exchanges and contacts at high and all levels; effectively maintaining the joint Cabinet meeting mechanism and bilateral cooperation mechanisms; continuing to closely coordinate and support each other at regional and international forums, especially ASEAN, the United Nations, APEC, etc.
At the meeting, the two leaders were pleased with the outstanding achievements in cooperation between the two countries in all fields in recent times, especially politics, economics, trade and investment; agreed that the two sides need to effectively promote cooperation potentials, including strengthening defense and security cooperation, promoting cooperation in preventing transnational crimes, especially drug crimes, human trafficking, and online fraud; promoting economic and trade cooperation, creating conditions and supporting businesses of both sides to increase investment in each country; promoting people-to-people exchange, opening more flights connecting localities of the two countries.
President Luong Cuong thanked and requested the Thai Government to continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community living and doing business in Thailand, as well as support Vietnamese associations in the country; preserve and promote Vietnamese cultural and historical values in Thailand.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong sent his regards and invited the King of Thailand to visit Vietnam. Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra thanked him, said he would convey the invitation to the King and respectfully invited President Luong Cuong to visit Thailand.
