Pursuant to Decision No. 785/QD-TTg dated April 17, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Steering Committee for "Exhibition of socio -economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)"; Pursuant to the direction of the Steering Committee, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City reports to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the progress of implementing the exhibition of socio -economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Contents that the City has implemented: The City People's Committee has organized a delegation to survey the exhibition venue ( Hanoi City) on the actual location and area of the exhibition space allocated by the Organizing Committee according to Official Dispatch 2855/BVHTTDL-MTTLNA dated June 19, 2025 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the allocation of space for "Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)". On that basis, the city has directed units to urgently implement the outline and layout of the exhibition design suitable for the common space.
Up to now, the City plans to implement specific contents such as: Plan to implement an exhibition area with the general theme "Rich province, strong country" at Hall 5, inside the National Exhibition Center (Implementing unit: Organizing Committee for celebrating major holidays of the city)
The exhibition reflects the spirit of Ho Chi Minh City with the heart of the South and a pioneering, strong mission, weaving new chapters of history from the journey of land opening, land preservation, construction and integration. The exhibition is like a meeting of memories and aspirations, of tradition and innovation, of the soul of the "hard-working but heroic Eastern land" and a broad global vision. In the context of the era of deep integration, the unification and expansion of development space between Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau is a strategic innovation step, affirming the vision of developing a smart, green, sustainable "super city", imbued with the identity of the South, comparable to major centers in the Southeast Asian region.
The exhibition with the theme (tentative) "Ho Chi Minh City - The stature of the era, creating the future" includes 4 parts: Part 1: The journey to open up the Southern land (From the 17th century to 1859); Part 2: The long resistance war, unifying the country (1859 - 1975); Part 3: 50 years of Construction, Innovation, Creation (1975 - 2025); Part 4: The era of rising and shining (after the formation of the new Ho Chi Minh City).
At the exhibition area, Ho Chi Minh City will strongly apply digital technology in exhibition display. Making the most of the power of digital technology to show the journey from the history of land opening to the vision of the future, using a variety of modern technologies to create interactive, immersive and personalized experiences for visitors.
In addition, the city plans to implement a space for exhibitions, installation art exhibitions, folk art performances, registration counters for sharing information and experiences, taking photos and booths promoting the city's image at the East yard - National Exhibition Center. Implement 08 hot air balloons anchored in place at a height of about 10 meters, symbolizing 08 cultural industries, combined with lighting effects, showing the city's typical architecture and political propaganda and agitation content to create a highlight of the high-altitude exhibition space that is easily recognizable from afar.
Implement a 24m high LED screen welcome gate system, displaying portraits of leaders, heroes and typical historical figures. Set up an area of booth clusters displaying OCOP products, ceramics, lacquer paintings, seafood products, folk artists performing cuisine, bread, iced milk coffee, delicious dishes from various countries and dishes with typical Southern culinary culture...
