Candidates start paying university and college admission fees in 2025

Candidates must pay the online application fee via the National Public Service Portal for their university and college application requests on the common application system to be valid. The registration fee is 15,000 VND per application, a decrease of 5,000 VND compared to 2024.

The general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training allows candidates to use 1 of 19 different payment channels, including bank payment channels: Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, BIDV, SHB; VPBank, TPBank, MBBank, HDBank.

Payment intermediary organizations: Other banks via VNPT Money, Vietnam Post, Ngan Luong, Payoo, Napas, HPay; e-wallets such as VNPT Money, MoMo, Viettel Money; mobile payment channel VNPT Mobile Money.

To avoid overloading the system, the Ministry of Education and Training divides the university admission fee payment schedule in specific provinces and cities as follows:

Fee payments are divided into 7 provincial groups to reduce system overload.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of the time the university and college admissions registration portal was closed, the ministry's general admissions system recorded nearly 850,000 candidates registering for admission with more than 7.6 million university and college admissions wishes, of which, on average, there were 8.96 wishes/candidate.

The Ministry of Education and Training notes that the entire process of paying the admission fee is done online. To be eligible to participate in the university and college entrance exam, candidates must pay the admission fee, otherwise the Ministry of Education and Training system will not record the candidate's successful application.

In case candidates do not have a bank account, they can ask relatives or teachers to do it for them. The Department of Education and Training will support payment in case candidates cannot do it themselves, especially for those in difficult circumstances, in remote areas.
