Director of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Mai Trong Hung said that in the context of world medicine entering the era of regenerative medicine, stem cell technology is considered the key to opening many advanced, safe and potential treatment directions for patients. The establishment of the Tissue Bank - Stem Cell Center is not only a testament to the hospital's vision, but also demonstrates the hospital's commitment to applying modern scientific achievements in clinical practice, bringing optimal methods in high-quality treatment, catching up with international standards.

Director of Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Tran Anh Tuan spoke at the launching ceremony of the Tissue Bank - Stem Cell Center of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
The Tissue Bank - Stem Cell Center has been invested in synchronously with modern infrastructure and advanced equipment. This is a pioneering public unit in the field of stem cell storage and application for reproductive health care, newborns and specialized medical treatment. The Tissue Bank - Stem Cell Center of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital stores many cell lines: blood, umbilical cord stem, mesenchyme, adipose tissue, contributing to the treatment of complex diseases now and in the future...

Director of Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Tran Anh Tuan presented flowers and the decision to establish the Tissue Bank; the decision to operate the Tissue Bank of the Ministry of Health congratulated the leaders of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital.
Stem cells are not only for storage, but also the key to opening up treatment opportunities in the future; supporting the treatment of hematological, immunological, tissue damage diseases, as well as advanced applications in regenerative medicine. The center aims to become the core of stem cell research and application in Vietnam. This is an important milestone marking the application of modern medicine in health care, reproductive health, disease prevention, and treatment of diseases from stem cells and is assessed and licensed by the Ministry of Health.

Director of Hanoi Obstetrics Hospital Mai Trong Hung spoke at the launching ceremony.
The center operates the stem cell processing process using fully automated extraction technology, minimizing errors and optimizing collection efficiency. All activities take place in a clean room system that meets GMP standards and ISO levels specifically for cell manipulation. The hospital is equipped with a complex of advanced equipment: a precise microenvironment control incubator; an automatic cord blood stem cell separation system.
Flow-through quality analysis technology with the ability to read up to 10 fluorescence channels; and a large-scale liquid nitrogen storage facility that can simultaneously store over 5,000 hematopoietic stem cell units. This S&T infrastructure helps ensure the purity, viability and stability of each stem cell sample over many years.

Director of Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Tran Anh Tuan shared with hospital leaders.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology Tran Anh Tuan emphasized that in the current era of growth and integration, the birth of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions, strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people's health are very important. These two resolutions have a close relationship with each other, with a strategic and long-term vision related to the development of science and technology, especially in the field of health and health care for people in Hanoi.

Currently, Hanoi has strong plans and commitments to develop the fields of science and technology, especially medicine and health care for the people. Accordingly, the city will build a center for research, development and application of modern technology in medicine, with world-class scale and quality; linking hospitals, medical facilities and universities and research institutes to enhance cooperation and data sharing.
At the same time, the city has invested heavily in scientific research; developed nursing homes for the elderly, and integrated high-tech healthcare. Hanoi will implement the connection of medical data between hospitals, in order to minimize the situation of patients having to be re-tested when transferring hospitals. These efforts aim to improve the quality and efficiency of the health system, while promoting scientific research and applying modern technology in practice. The city calls for the participation and cooperation of medical facilities, universities, research institutes, and enterprises to realize these goals.
