Muong Khuong Regional General Hospital has just been equipped with 5 more artificial kidney dialysis machines and 01 continuous blood filtration machine, contributing to improving the treatment capacity for patients with chronic kidney failure and performing some special techniques in the area. This is an important additional step after the hospital officially deployed artificial kidney technical services from November 19, 2024.

Currently, the hospital is managing and regularly treating 10 patients who need regular dialysis. Most of these are in difficult circumstances and have seriously declining health.

Before receiving the new machines, the hospital's Emergency - Intensive Care and Poison Control Department only had 3 hemodialysis machines. Each dialysis session lasted about 4 hours, meaning that technicians and nurses had to operate several shifts a day to meet the treatment needs of all patients.

To effectively deploy and operate the new equipment, doctors and nurses from the Artificial Kidney Department, Provincial General Hospital No. 2 provided direct professional support in the form of "hands-on instruction".

The addition of 05 new artificial kidney dialysis machines has promptly resolved this difficulty. Not only does it help the hospital increase its treatment capacity, the new equipment also contributes to reducing patient waiting time and improving the quality of care. Patients receive dialysis according to the protocol, minimizing the risk of complications for patients.
