The survey focused on many target groups in the community, including: children aged 0 - 59 months, children aged 5 - 19 years, women aged 20 - 69 years (non-pregnant), men aged 20 - 69 years and pregnant women aged 15 - 49 years.

During the implementation process, the team of experts collected anthropometric indicators (weight, height, waist circumference, hip circumference), nutritional status, dietary intake, food consumption, micronutrient status and related factors. Household interviews and salt sampling were carried out in accordance with the standard procedures of the Institute of Nutrition.
The investigation will be carried out in Bao Thang and Gia Phu communes, and is expected to end on December 4.

The objective of the assessment is to determine the nutritional status, food consumption trends and factors affecting nutritional health of key population groups in the period 2020 - 2025. The survey results will provide important baseline data to assess the indicators of the National Nutrition Strategy, and at the same time serve as a scientific basis for proposing appropriate interventions in the short and medium term.

The collected data will be compiled and analyzed to serve the development of policies, plans and solutions to improve nutritional status, contributing to improving people's health in the coming time. This activity also helps localities identify outstanding nutritional problems, thereby providing appropriate intervention solutions in practice.
