On June 1, Xanh Pon General Hospital officially put into use the Pediatric Examination Unit upon request. On the first day of the ribbon cutting ceremony, about 200 pediatric patients came for examination.
Dr. Luong Thu Huong, Head of the Pediatrics on Demand Examination Unit, said that the free examination program for children will be extended until the end of June. This is an activity in response to the Month of Action for Children 2025 with the theme "Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children".

Ms. NHL (Dong Da, Hanoi ) took her daughter to the doctor because she complained of a stomachache. She said that she usually took her daughter to a private clinic because she was afraid of crowded hospitals, but this morning, her daughter complained of a stomachache early, so she took her to Xanh Pon Hospital and was surprised because the examination area was separate, airy and not too crowded.
"My child was examined and had an ultrasound very quickly. Luckily, the examination did not detect any abnormalities, only digestive disorders were monitored," Ms. L. shared.
According to Dr. Huong, children coming to the Pediatric Examination Unit upon request will be examined, tested, x-rayed, and paraclinically examined in one area, ensuring the most favorable conditions for the children.
For children with emergency signs, doctors will quickly screen, classify, and provide emergency treatment before needing to do administrative procedures.

In particular, children who are examined upon request are still covered by health insurance according to regulations, with only a portion of the additional costs such as testing being charged.
Previously, on May 22, Xanh Pon Hospital deployed digital signatures on the VNeiD application. Hospital leaders said that this improvement helps patients shorten the time to process medical examination procedures.
Initially, the hospital will deploy it to 100% of inpatients and 3 outpatient clinics in the Examination Department. After that, there will be a roadmap to deploy it to the entire hospital.
Xanh Pon Hospital, in addition to implementing digital signatures, is continuing to deploy electronic medical records to completely replace paper medical records, ensuring connectivity with the national health system.
According to the Hospital, processes such as examination registration, diagnosis, clinical indications, payment, prescription and treatment monitoring are all performed on a digital platform, helping to save time and reduce professional errors.
In addition, the Hospital also stopped printing medical records a year ago, switching to independent electronic storage.
To date, more than 31,000 electronic medical records have been archived, saving more than VND1 billion in printing costs, while optimizing human resource and record management. Since March 15, the hospital has stopped printing X-ray films, CT scan results and MRI results, saving an estimated VND20 billion per year.
These results are transferred directly to the doctors' computer system, allowing quick reading of results.
