On the morning of June 3, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Mori Takero, the new Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang city.

Attending the reception were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu, representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors of the province.
At the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet expressed his joy at welcoming the delegation, and hoped that in his new position, Mr. Mori Takero would continue to be a bridge to promote the friendship and cooperation between Quang Nam and Japan.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet also acknowledged and highly appreciated the great support and contributions of the Consulate General of Japan in recent times to the development of Quang Nam, especially in the economic and official development assistance fields. Of which, the accumulated ODA capital to date is nearly 830 million USD; the province has 18 projects with a total capital of 140 million USD.
2024 will be the year of many exchange events, promoting cooperation between Quang Nam and Japan, including visits, signing of cooperation agreements combined with conferences to promote investment calls by provincial leaders in Japanese sister localities; the 20th Hoi An - Japan cultural exchange program in 2024. Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet hopes that the Consulate General of Japan will create conditions and coordinate to effectively organize events.
New Consul General Mori Takero thanked the Quang Nam leaders for their good and sincere sentiments as well as the province's attention and coordination in cultural exchange activities, introducing and connecting Japanese localities and businesses to Quang Nam; contributing to tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan in the past time. At the same time, he said that in the coming time, the Japanese Consulate will create favorable conditions for Quang Nam workers to go to Japan to work, especially in visa renewal procedures.

New Consul General Mori Takero also hopes that the restoration project of the Japanese Covered Bridge in Hoi An will be completed quickly before the 20th Hoi An - Japan cultural exchange event takes place.
