On the afternoon of June 14, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Ha Tinh Branch ( BIDV Ha Tinh) held a ceremony to celebrate its 60th anniversary (1965-2025).
Attending and congratulating were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Linh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Ha Van Hung; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Dinh Hai and leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and organizations.
Director of BIDV Ha Tinh Nguyen Dinh Thinh presented a speech reviewing the 60-year journey of the unit's establishment.
BIDV Ha Tinh, formerly known as Ha Tinh Construction Bank, was established in the context of the country regaining peace in the North and continuing the resistance war against the US in the South. In that context, the bank effectively performed the tasks of allocating and managing budget capital to serve the resistance war and national construction, contributing to the cause of independence and national unification. Over 60 years of construction and development, BIDV has had 4 names and performed tasks appropriate to the requirements of each stage of the country's development.
In recent years, BIDV Ha Tinh has always maintained an average growth rate of 14-15%/year. The scale and scope of operations have continuously expanded, with total assets reaching more than 18,000 billion VND, more than double that of 2020.
To date, BIDV Ha Tinh is serving nearly 5,000 customers who are enterprises, economic organizations and more than 215,000 individual customers. In particular, BIDV Ha Tinh is always a pioneer and active in implementing national digital transformation programs, digitalization in banking activities, and is among the top in the region and system in digitalizing the customer base.
In addition to carrying out business tasks, BIDV Ha Tinh always identifies social responsibility as its mission and actively implements “for the community” programs. Every year, BIDV Vietnam and its branches spend tens of billions of VND to build schools, medical stations, flood-proof houses, charity houses, purchase equipment to support the health and education sectors, scholarship funds for poor students overcoming difficulties, and give Tet gifts to the poor, etc.
With the efforts and results achieved, for 6 consecutive years (2019-2025), the branch was considered by BIDV headquarters to have completed its tasks excellently.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha praised the efforts and outstanding achievements of generations of BIDV Ha Tinh officials and employees over the past 60 years, making great contributions to the cause of protecting and building the country.
To promote the achievements, in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested BIDV Ha Tinh to continue to effectively implement appropriate capital mobilization measures for each type of customer, each region and area; strengthen and expand cooperation with economic organizations and enterprises; operate business in the direction of enhancing initiative and flexibility; maintain high growth rate in scale along with strengthening inspection and control to ensure quality of operations.
In addition, the unit needs to focus on prioritizing credit capital for key sectors and fields of the province; focus on improving the quality of human resources; closely coordinate with commercial banks in the area, compete fairly to maintain stability, safety and mutual development; simplify loan procedures, always accompany and create conditions for customers in the development process; have reasonable mechanisms on issues: interest rates, profits... to achieve business efficiency.
In addition, BIDV Ha Tinh must improve the quality of leadership and direction of Party organizations, launch extensive emulation movements throughout the branch; promote charitable and humanitarian activities to contribute to solving social security issues in the province with all levels and sectors.
On this occasion, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Ha Tinh Branch was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its contributions to the socio-economic development of Ha Tinh province, period 2019-2024.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Vo Trong Hai awarded a certificate of merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman to BIDV Ha Tinh for its contributions to the province's socio-economic development in the 2019-2024 period.
Leaders of State Bank Region VIII awarded a certificate of merit from the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam to BIDV Ha Tinh.
