Tourists flocked to the beaches in droves.

Visiting Thuan An beach on the first day of the April 30th/May 1st holiday, you can truly feel the vibrant and bustling atmosphere as long lines of vehicles bring locals and tourists to the beaches. Along with that, there's a busy atmosphere at restaurants and eateries preparing their facilities and food to welcome visitors.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi An, owner of a restaurant at the public beach, compared to previous years, this year's holiday saw a much higher number of visitors to Thuan An beach, resulting in a surge in seafood orders. Therefore, the establishment has mobilized additional staff and increased food supplies to better meet customer demand.

Tourists enjoy "checking in" on the clean, breezy beach.

According to Mr. Dao Quang Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward, to better serve residents and tourists during this year's beach tourism season, starting from March 2025, the ward has invested in completing the infrastructure of the beaches, including upgrading transportation routes, installing lighting systems, beautifying the beaches, and investing in two free freshwater shower areas for tourists.

Along with infrastructure upgrades, from April 28th to 30th, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward organized the "Thuan An Beach Calling" program with many meaningful programs and activities aimed at promoting the brand and position of Hue - an ASEAN clean tourism city, Vietnam's Festival City, and continuing and building upon the achievements of previous Hue Festivals.

According to Mr. Hung, the Thuan An Beach Calling Program is an annual event aimed at honoring and promoting the folk cultural identity of coastal residents, contributing to promoting the potential and strengths of Hue city in terms of economy , culture, tourism, and sustainable development prospects; thereby calling on domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to invest in Thuan An in particular and Hue city in general to promote socio-economic development in the area, especially the marine economy.

“Thuan An is a beautiful, clean beach with a long coastline and many attractive local specialties. Unlike before, when I come to Thuan An now, I feel more hospitable, friendly, and civilized because the local authorities have invested in a free freshwater shower system, and there is a designated area for tourists to eat together, so the beach is quite clean. The attitude of the service at restaurants and eateries has also changed completely, as all establishments display prices and sell at the listed prices, so I feel quite reassured,” shared Ms. Hanh Minh, a tourist from Quang Binh.

As one of the impressive beaches in Hue city, Thuan An beach has been and continues to be an attractive destination for tourists. Many construction projects have been and are being invested in, not only contributing to the improvement of infrastructure but also shortening the distance to other beaches. Among these, the bridge project across the Thuan An estuary is considered an impressive highlight, promising to boost the development of the marine economy in general and attract tourists to the beaches in Thuan An ward in particular, thereby creating momentum for the development of the marine and lagoon economy in the area.
