Binh Dinh province has just reported on the socio -economic situation in the first 9 months and key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2024.

According to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, the province's socio-economic situation in the first 9 months of 2024 maintained stability, recovery and development. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 7.53% over the same period, ranking 25th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide; 5th out of 14 provinces and cities in the North Central and Central Coast regions and 1st out of 5 provinces and cities in the Central Central sub-region.

Of which, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 2.97%; industry and construction increased by 10.94% (industry alone increased by 12.32%; construction increased by 8.11%); services increased by 8.11%; product taxes minus product subsidies increased by 8.15%.

In the first 9 months of 2024, industrial clusters (ICs) attracted 16 projects with a total investment capital of VND 1,889.2 billion (an average of VND 118 billion/project), with a total area of ​​53.1 hectares. At the same time, there are 10 projects implementing procedures with a total investment capital of VND 226.6 billion, with a total area of ​​17.9 hectares. Up to now, the province has attracted 380 investment projects with a leased land area and an investment policy of 738.2 hectares.

The province attracted 41 projects with a total registered investment capital of VND7,078.8 billion. Of these, 14 projects were in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks with a total registered investment capital of VND3,032.3 billion; 27 projects were outside Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks with a total registered investment capital of VND4,046.5 billion.

The province's import and export turnover reached 1,644 million USD, up 13.3% over the same period. Of which, exports reached 1,315 million USD, reaching 79.7% of the yearly plan and up 16.7% over the same period. Specifically, seafood products reached 95.5 million USD; wood reached 329.6 million USD; textiles and garments reached 280.8 million USD...

Binh Dinh tourism revenue also reached impressive numbers, in 9 months there were more than 8 million tourists coming to the province, reaching revenue of nearly 23,000 billion VND.

Total state budget revenue in the province in the first 9 months of 2024 reached VND 10,354.4 billion, reaching 69% of the annual estimate and increasing by 25.4% over the same period. The province has granted business registration certificates to 878 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of about VND 7,713 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the number of registered enterprises increased by 2.7% (in the same period, there were 855 newly established enterprises) and registered capital increased by 2.3%.

“In addition to facilitating the acceleration of the implementation of industrial projects being implemented in the province, the Provincial People's Committee has organized meetings to grasp the situation, promptly directed the removal of difficulties and obstacles for businesses, supported and created favorable conditions for businesses to maintain production and business activities, seek export orders, and create jobs for local workers,” said the Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee.

Binh Dinh province said that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the province will continue to call for investment and build agricultural, forestry and fishery processing factories to contribute to increasing the production value of the industry.

At the same time, increase meetings and dialogues with businesses, grasp the production and business situation, difficulties and obstacles in the operation process and recommendations of businesses to promptly resolve and remove difficulties for businesses. Urge and create favorable conditions for large projects to be completed and put into operation soon, creating new value for industrial production in 2024.

Urge investors in technical infrastructure of industrial parks to focus on investing in completing infrastructure and improving the operational efficiency of industrial parks, creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, especially industrial parks under unfinished construction.

Register to implement investment projects on Construction and business of technical infrastructure of industrial parks in the province such as: Tuong Son industrial park; Bui Thi Xuan industrial park (expansion); Van Canh town industrial park; Ta Suc industrial park (phase 3).

Along with that, the province actively supports and creates conditions for businesses to access the State's support policy packages on tax, fee, land rent exemption, reduction, extension, access to loan sources, interest rate reduction, debt repayment restructuring, etc.
