Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong speed up the progress of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway

BPO - On the morning of June 4, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son worked online with representatives of Dak Nong province's leaders and investors to listen to progress reports on the implementation of the North-South Expressway's western component projects, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section.

The Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh ( Binh Phuoc ) expressway project is over 128km long. In the first phase, the project is designed with a scale of 4 lanes, with an expected speed of 100-120km/h. The project is divided into 5 component projects. Binh Phuoc is in charge of component project 3 (receiver roads, overpasses in the area) and component project 5 (land clearance). Dak Nong is in charge of components project 2 and 4. Component project 1 invests in building the expressway under the PPP method. The project is scheduled to be prepared and start construction in 2025, basically completed in 2026, and put into operation in 2027.

Up to now, in addition to focusing on marking, inventorying, measuring, speeding up site clearance, and arranging resettlement sites for affected people, professional agencies of Binh Phuoc and Dak Nong provinces are also focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles related to mineral mines, landfill materials, construction materials, waste dumps, etc.

At the meeting, representatives of relevant agencies of the two provinces discussed and gave opinions to remove difficulties and obstacles related to the content of not recovering bauxite minerals in the overlapping part with the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway construction investment project to speed up the project's progress.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son said that although the project is progressing as planned, if it is not implemented resolutely, it will certainly encounter many difficulties, especially in the context of the upcoming dissolution of the district level and merger of the provincial level.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son suggested: With the highest sense of responsibility, departments, branches, localities, consulting units, and consortiums must urgently review all documents and procedures to ensure legality; be more determined in site clearance work; if there are any difficulties or problems, they must immediately report to the leaders of the two provinces for advice on solutions. Because from now until August 19, the expected start date of the expressway, if there is no determination, it will affect the project's progress.
