Due to the influence of the tropical depression that has strengthened into storm No. 6, from the night of August 29 to the morning of August 30, Ha Tinh province experienced widespread heavy rain. Heavy rain caused local flooding of some roads, bridges, and culverts, making traffic difficult.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Tuan - Deputy Director of Ho Ho Hydropower Plant said: To proactively respond to heavy rain, since the morning of August 29, the unit has operated the spillway to regulate water, increasing the flood prevention capacity for the plant area. However, from last night to this morning, in the old Huong Khe district and the plant area, there has been very heavy rain, causing the water flow into the plant's lake to increase rapidly. Faced with this reality, the unit has increased the spillway flow.
At 9:00 a.m. on August 30, the water flow into the lake reached 730 m3 /s, and Ho Ho Hydropower Plant was releasing spillway water at a flow rate of 682 m3 /s. This unit is currently closely monitoring the weather to adjust the appropriate spillway discharge level, ensuring the safety of the project and the downstream area.
Meanwhile, it is currently raining lightly in the area of Huong Son Hydropower Plant. The lake water level is at 803.3/804 m. The management unit is closely monitoring the water flow situation to proactively deploy safe operating plans appropriate to the actual situation.

At this time, the water level of some large reservoirs in Ha Tinh such as: Ke Go lake reached 28.07/32.5 m (capacity 226.75/345 million m 3 , reaching 65.72% of the design); Song Rac lake 20.24/23.2 m (capacity 78.31/124.5 million m 3 , reaching 62.89% of the design); Ngan Truoi lake 38.34/52 m (capacity 313.55/775.7 million m 3 , reaching 40.42% of the design).
Other medium and small reservoirs have so far reached 70 to 90% of their design capacity.
Some reservoirs are overflowing such as: Ke Go reservoir 90 m 3 /s (all spillways have been opened); Song Rac 110 m 3 /s; Boc Nguyen reservoir 25 m 3 /s; Kim Son reservoir 10 m 3 /s; Thuong Song Tri reservoir 10 m 3 /s; Da Bac 8.15 m 3 /s.
