On the morning of October 27, the Office of New Rural Area Coordination of Ha Tinh province organized a training course on the process of evaluating and classifying OCOP products; registering for protection and developing intellectual property, improving food safety quality associated with tracing the origin of OCOP products.
Attending were representatives of the Center for Research and Development of Agricultural Systems, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences; nearly 300 commune and ward officials and subjects participating in the OCOP program.

Opening the training program, Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office Ngo Dinh Long affirmed: After more than 6 years of implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, the whole province has recognized 410 OCOP products, of which 267 products are still certified, many products have affirmed their quality and brand in the market.
However, implementing the two-level local government model requires many new adjustments in the organization, management and implementation of the program, requiring grassroots staff to have a firm grasp of the functions, tasks and coordination procedures for effective implementation in the coming time.

The Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office for New Rural Development Coordination requested civil servants in communes and wards to study and fully absorb the contents to advise, guide and support the subjects in the process of implementing the program. The subjects that have products that meet OCOP standards need to continue to clearly understand the regulations on protection of industrial property rights and regulations on food safety.
For new participants, it is necessary to carefully study the criteria and evaluation process of OCOP products; proactively complete documents, labels, packaging, and traceability in accordance with regulations...

Guidelines for amending and supplementing the set of criteria and procedures for evaluating and classifying OCOP products.
During the 2-day period, delegates will be informed of topics related to the One Commune One Product program. The focus will be on instructions for implementing Decision No. 1489/QD-TTg dated July 6, 2025 of the Prime Minister on amending and supplementing a number of contents of Decision No. 148/QD-TTg dated February 24, 2023 on approving the set of criteria and process for evaluating and classifying products of the One Commune One Product Program.

Introducing contents on registration for protection of industrial property rights, management and exploitation of industrial property rights for OCOP products according to the value chain; Managing and improving food quality and safety associated with product traceability.
In addition, lecturers and delegates will discuss and answer some difficulties and problems in the implementation of the OCOP program in the current period.
