Surveys at shopping centers Tops Market and Aeon Mall Hanoi show that the number of visitors has increased significantly, especially on weekends. Many "temporary booths" of fashion, cosmetic and household brands are opened right in the lobby area with a variety of products to attract customers.

The household appliances and fashion group recorded the highest discount, many products were reduced by up to 70%, bills over 3 million received additional products under 500,000 VND. In the cosmetics group alone, the maximum discount was about 60%, with gifts included in the bill to stimulate shopping. Many products with promotional prices were evaluated as good quality, convenient to use, and easy to access for consumers.

At fashion stores, it is noted that the number of customers increases significantly at noon and early evening. Many people take advantage of the opportunity to buy jackets, jeans, shoes , and other items for the end of the year and to prepare for the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Ms. Khanh Lan (owner of a fashion store in Hoang Quoc Viet) said: " This year, purchasing power tends to increase compared to the same period, especially during peak hours when people take advantage of shopping to prepare for the cold season and the upcoming Tet holiday. On this occasion, we also take advantage of launching many promotions such as combo discounts, buy 3 products get 2 free... ".

According to records, this year consumers tend to choose more carefully, prioritizing necessary products with long-term use value. Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha (Cau Giay, Hanoi) said that Black Friday is always awaited by her family because it is an opportunity to shop at good prices at the end of the year. " Today, when I went to the shopping mall, I saw that the stalls had big discounts, especially on household appliances. A microwave oven cost 6 million VND, so I hesitated for a month to buy it. Now that the price is reduced to 4 million, I decided to buy it because the price is so attractive ," Ms. Ha shared.

Sharing the same opinion, Ms. Nguyen Thu Thao (Cau Giay District, Hanoi) said: " This year, I prioritize hunting for sales on essential products, especially down jackets for winter for my children to go to school. Many stores have discounts of up to 60-70%, the designs are beautiful and light, so I took the opportunity to choose for the whole family. Buying during the promotion helps save a significant amount while still ensuring quality ."

In addition to price, many customers are more concerned about warranty policies, origin, and accompanying incentives to avoid buying low-quality inventory. Many people take advantage of this opportunity to buy things for their families, instead of buying based on emotions like before. This selective consumption trend helps the retail market become more stable and sustainable.

A representative of a fashion brand in Hanoi assessed that Black Friday has become one of the most important promotions of the year, contributing to boosting the store's revenue. Many businesses also plan to prepare goods early, designing diverse incentive programs suitable for people's spending ability. It is forecasted that in the peak days of late November, the retail market will continue to maintain growth momentum, especially in the fashion, household goods, cosmetics and electronics industries.

It can be seen that this year’s Black Friday not only created a bustling shopping atmosphere in Hanoi but also showed the resilience of the retail market in the final period of the year.
