The Politburo gives opinions on preparations for the Party Congresses of Dien Bien and Gia Lai provinces.

On August 25, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, President Luong Cuong chaired a meeting with the Standing Committee of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel plan for the Party Committee to be submitted to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending the meeting were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and representatives of leaders of a number of central departments, ministries and branches.

At the working session, the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces presented draft documents to be submitted to the Congress of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee and the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, including: Political Report, Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Personnel plan for the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, and draft Resolution of the Congress.

Delegates gave their opinions, focusing on emphasizing the outstanding results in the past term, suggesting the need to clarify specific solutions to completely resolve the limitations, shortcomings, and development bottlenecks of Dien Bien and Gia Lai provinces; at the same time, suggesting and orienting the tasks, solutions, experiences, and new ways of doing things in leadership and direction for the 2025-2030 term, with a vision to 2045.

Concluding the working session, President Luong Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the important results achieved by the two provinces, basically approved the draft documents; the provinces have implemented them in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 45-CT/TW, comprehensively assessed the results achieved in the past 5 years, frankly pointed out the limitations, causes and drew lessons.

The directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 period demonstrate political determination, development vision, identify key and breakthrough tasks, and have thoroughly grasped and concretized major policies and orientations in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and recently issued documents of the Central Committee and the Politburo.

President Luong Cuong suggested that localities continue to absorb the opinions of ministries, branches and Politburo members, especially the direction of General Secretary To Lam for Dien Bien and Gia Lai provinces in recent working sessions to complete documents and personnel submitted to the Congress, ensuring that they meet the vision and development orientation in the new context, in the new development space with the potentials and advantages of each locality in terms of sea, forest, seaport, airport, etc.

In particular, pay attention to building a strong political system at all levels, ensuring solid national defense, maintaining political security and social order and safety, improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs; caring for and improving people's lives, especially ethnic minorities, remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.

The Politburo assessed that the draft documents and the basic personnel plan are qualified to be submitted to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. President Luong Cuong requested that the provinces urgently develop an Action Program to implement the Resolution to submit to the Congress with clear goals, tasks, resources, people, work, progress, and responsibilities, and can be implemented immediately after the Congress. Promote the implementation of propaganda work before, during, and after the Congress.

Assign the Central Party Office to synthesize and propose the time to organize the provincial party congresses for the 2025-2030 term, and submit it to the Politburo for consideration and decision.
