To help people with meritorious services, families with meritorious services, and relatives of martyrs in the province, the Party Committee of the Provincial Military Command has directed the comprehensive implementation of policy activities, promoting "gratitude" activities in the army. At the same time, directing specialized departments and Defense Zone Commands in the area to proactively coordinate in implementing the Army and Army rear policies to ensure strict compliance with regulations. Many activities such as supporting the construction of gratitude houses; visiting and encouraging families with meritorious services; coordinating with localities to award certificates of merit from the Fatherland... have been organized. Thereby contributing to improving the material life, encouraging the spirit of officers, soldiers, and relatives of martyrs, further strengthening the people's trust and love for the provincial armed forces.
According to Major Trinh Xuan Hien, Assistant to the Policy Department, Political Department of the Provincial Military Command, in the first 6 months of the year, agencies and units under the Provincial Military Command have visited and presented over 800 gifts to officers, soldiers, families of soldiers in difficult circumstances, soldiers with serious illnesses, and families of policy beneficiaries in the area where the unit is stationed. At the same time, gifts from the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense and gifts from the Military Region 2 Command were delivered to 4 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, 4 Heroes of the Armed Forces, 33 brave soldiers who defeated the Americans, along with wounded soldiers, relatives of martyrs... in the area.
In July 2025 alone, from the "Repaying gratitude" fund, the Provincial Military Command visited and presented 83 gifts to active war invalids, relatives of martyrs' children, and war invalids working at the agency. At the same time, visited and presented gifts to 4 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and presented 63 gifts to policy beneficiaries in the area.
The war has ended, but there are still soldiers left on the battlefield. Officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces have actively and proactively coordinated to do a good job of searching, collecting and collecting martyrs' remains. Since the beginning of the year, the provincial Military Command has organized the search and collection of 16 martyrs' remains in Thanh Thuy commune. At the same time, coordinated with the People's Committee of Vi Xuyen commune to organize a memorial service and solemnly bury the martyrs' remains in accordance with regulations. The subordinate units also created all favorable conditions for the martyrs' relatives to visit and search for the martyrs' remains that are still scattered along the border.
With the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the activities of caring for families of policy beneficiaries by officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces have contributed to alleviating the pain, sharing difficulties and losses with families of martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers, and families with meritorious services to the country. Through that, the people's hearts are also strengthened, the spirit of patriotism, humanity, and loyal and devoted lifestyle are further spread, becoming a source of encouragement for officers and soldiers in the provincial armed forces to constantly strive and successfully complete the task of building and defending the Fatherland.
