The goal of the 2025 - 2030 term is determined by the Party Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune as continuing to develop the socio-economy; promoting poverty reduction; preserving and promoting national cultural identity; ensuring national defense, security, political stability and social order and safety; creating strong changes in Party building and the political system; consolidating the great national unity bloc; arousing and realizing the aspiration to develop into a fairly developed commune of Lam Dong province.
Changing the face of the countryside
Dam Rong 4 commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes of Da Long, Da Tong (old Dam Rong district) and Dung K'no commune (old Lac Duong district) with the proportion of ethnic minorities over 90%. According to the assessment, the 2020-2025 term is the period in which the Party Committee, government and people of Dam Rong 4 commune have made efforts to overcome difficulties, unite to achieve many important results in the fields of economy - society, national defense - security, people's lives are improved and raised day by day.
The targets set out in the resolution at the beginning of the term were basically completed well. The socio-economy continued to develop. Political security and social order and safety were maintained. The new rural areas were increasingly spacious and clean. The material and spiritual life of the people was constantly improved. The socio-economic development programs for ethnic minority areas on sustainable poverty reduction were effectively implemented, creating significant changes in the lives of the people in general and the poor, ethnic minorities in particular.
The effectiveness of policies, programs, and investment projects on the development of ethnic minority areas combined with capital sources for infrastructure development, production, settlement, and social security has gradually changed the way of agricultural production and economic development. The multidimensional poverty rate of the commune has decreased to 3.04%. By 2025, the economic structure of the commune will shift in the right direction, in which agriculture plays an important role in the local economy.
Along with that, in recent years, the locality has gradually created all conditions to attract organizations, individuals and businesses to invest in the area to exploit the strengths of landscape, climate, rivers, streams, hot mineral springs to develop tourism with typical brands such as: "Community tourism village", "Agricultural tourism"; restore some traditional craft villages. The commune maintains and develops industries with potential and advantages of the locality such as: traditional brocade weaving, wine production... contributing to solving employment and increasing income for local people.
Promoting cultural identity and tourism potential
After the merger, Dam Rong 4 is a commune connecting with Dak Lak province and Lang Biang ward - Da Lat through 4 traffic routes. The commune has a large agricultural land fund, favorable for agricultural development, aquaculture, tourism services, and agricultural services.
With the characteristics of the area having a high proportion of ethnic minorities from the Central Highlands, many cultural features with strong identities such as gongs, brocade weaving, and bamboo and rattan weaving are still preserved, creating potential for tourism development.
Comrade Tran Phu Vinh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune said that in the coming time, the locality will prioritize the development of trade, services and tourism. In particular, the commune will focus on developing eco-tourism, agricultural tourism and cultural tourism, considering this a breakthrough.
To do that, the locality continues to effectively implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TU, dated July 25, 2022 of the Provincial Party Committee "On developing high-quality tourism to 2025, with a vision to 2030"; develop a Community Tourism project and develop high-quality, competitive tourism products to turn Dam Rong 4 into a destination connecting with tourist areas of the province and neighboring provinces. The commune prepares conditions to take the lead in developing green tourism associated with promoting the cultural identity of indigenous ethnic groups and natural landscapes in the commune; connecting the commune's tourism development with the provincial tourism center when Provincial Road DT722 is completed and put into use.
The commune focuses on mobilizing all resources, taking advantage of support from all levels and sectors, promoting the internal strength and potential advantages of the locality, overcoming difficulties to create a breakthrough in socio-economic development. The locality focuses on improving and synchronizing the socio-economic infrastructure system to encourage and attract investment. Prioritizing investment in key projects and works on transport infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, breaking the deadlock, enhancing the efficiency of connection with neighboring localities.
In addition, the Party Committee and the communal government clearly identified key programs, key projects, and development areas suitable for each locality to focus on effective leadership. The locality continued to effectively implement the agricultural restructuring plan, promote sustainable poverty reduction, develop tourism, and develop the socio-economy in association with three national target programs: New rural construction, Sustainable poverty reduction, and Socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas.
