Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security presents nearly 3 tons of relief goods to Myanmar

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the morning of April 1, a working delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security presented nearly 3 tons of medicine and medical equipment to Myanmar.

On behalf of the working delegation, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Head of the delegation, presented these medicines and supplies to Mr. Sa Weli Frag, Director of the Department of Disaster Management, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar with the wish to provide medical support to the friendly country to overcome this difficult period.

These medicines and equipment include: Antibiotics, digestive medicines, cold medicines... and basic healthcare equipment such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, SpO2 pairs, stretchers, bandages, gauze, antiseptics...; epidemic prevention support materials such as nasal sprays, insecticides...

Thanking the support of the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security Relief Delegation, Mr. Sa Weli Frag said that he will immediately transfer these medicines and medical equipment to the Myanmar Ministry of Health to deliver them directly to difficult areas that are lacking medicines and medical supplies.

Previously, during the rescue operation in Zabuthiri town, the Working Group also presented medicine and essential supplies to the local authorities there.

The working delegation of the Ministry of Public Security consists of 26 comrades, led by Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of Department C07.

On March 31, the first day of the rescue mission, the working group of the Ministry of Public Security visited two scenes in Zabuthiri town, the capital city of Naypyidaw. At the second scene, the team found the body of a 10-year-old boy and brought him out.

Previously, in February 2023, the Ministry of Public Security was also the first unit to send 24 officers from the professional rescue team and medical staff to support Turkey in overcoming the consequences of the earthquake. This noble gesture was recognized and highly appreciated by Turkish leaders and international friends, clearly demonstrating Vietnam's commitment to carrying out the global humanitarian mission.
