Quoc Truong returns as a cosmetic surgeon, crazy about love

(PLVN) - Quoc Truong, Le Khanh, Uyen An, Thuan Nguyen star in the movie "Chi nga em nang" directed by Meritorious Artist Vu Thanh Vinh.

Belonging to the genre of psychological and emotional comedy, “Chi nga em nang” tells the story of an incense-making family in Tay Ninh . An incident happened, causing the childhood of two sisters Thuong and Luc to become orphans, struggling to make a living.

Growing up in a poor environment, but with her strong will and the teachings of her parents deeply ingrained in her mind, Thuong was persistent and determined to change her life. When she grew up, Thuong was successful and wanted her younger brother to also succeed following the path she had paved, but her somewhat imposing love put a lot of pressure on Luc.

At the project introduction on May 15 in Ho Chi Minh City, director Vu Thanh Vinh said that this time, he still chose to tell a story with clear content and a message that conveys a strong Vietnamese color.

Meanwhile, the main cast including Le Khanh, Thuan Nguyen, Quoc Truong, Uyen An were "tailored" by him and the screenwriter to ensure the acting requirements as well as suitability for the characters.

Talking about the project, Le Khanh revealed that she had to quickly lose weight to play the female lead. “I was very touched and felt lucky to have the opportunity to join this project. Thuong is a wonderful character, it has been a long time since I had the opportunity to transform into a character I wanted. This is pressure but also motivation for me to try harder for the character.”

Meanwhile, Quoc Truong plays the role of cosmetic surgeon Truong. “He is a person who has everything but is nothing in the eyes of “that person”. The cosmetic surgeon I play has a crazy love, loves so much that he does good things, but sometimes does bad things because of his love”.

As for Uyen An, she is excited because after many roles, she finally gets to love passionately on screen. In the film, the actress plays Hai Au, who has a liberal, free, and healing energy. Hai Au falls in love with Luc (Thuan Nguyen) and comes to his life to heal his wounds.

Taking on the role of Luc - Thuan Nguyen said he struggled a lot before accepting the role for many reasons: Luc is a modern person but has deep thoughts and emotions, not easy to act, but after a while he understood and felt this character.

In addition to the main four actors, "Chi nga em nang" has the participation of People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Meritorious Artist Hoai Linh, Dinh Y Nhung, Thanh Thuc, Tra Ngoc, Ta Lam, Miss Nhu Van... and the Thai actor duo - Moslhong, Banky.

The film is scheduled to be released in October 2025.
