Unexpected revelations on the opening night of the 2025 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

NDO - On the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) taking place on the evening of May 31, both Da Nang International Fireworks teams (Vietnam 1) and JoHo Pyro Fireworks Professional AB from Finland are ready with many unique surprises.

According to the reporter's records, up to now, the two teams are focusing on the final stages; ensuring absolute safety of the fireworks system for the opening night.

The organizers said that the festival will open with the first night's theme "Cultural Essence", starting the longest fireworks festival season with many new things.

Recorded at the fireworks site (Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District) was the urgent, diligent atmosphere of the two teams and workers.

As the host team that has been associated with the Festival for 14 years, the Da Nang International Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) once again took on the responsibility of opening the show.

With the theme “Cultural Essence”, the team from Da Nang promises to bring an emotional work of art, as a warm and proud greeting to international friends on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day.

According to the representative of Vietnam Team 1, the performance on the opening night was elaborately staged, consisting of 4 parts lasting more than 20 minutes, using more than 5,000 fireworks of various types with more than 100 effects.

Accordingly, thousands of fireworks are programmed with high precision, synchronized every second with the music, creating a symphony of light and vivid sound in the sky over the Han River.

The highlight of the performance was the harmonious blend of traditional Vietnamese music and famous international songs.

"With the melodies of music and the colorful effects of fireworks, we hope to introduce to international friends the advanced culture imbued with Vietnamese national identity," Mr. Nghia Hoang, captain of Vietnam Team 1, shared with reporters.

Meeting the home team on the opening night is the JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB team from Finland - the reigning champion of DIFF 2024.

A representative of the JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks AB team said that the team will bring the performance "Nordic Lights", inspired by the magical aurora phenomenon in Northern Europe, with some special fireworks combined with high technology and techniques.

JoHo Pyro team promises that their world-class pyrotechnics will lead the audience through many emotions, exploring events and memories associated with the people and culture of Finland.

“This is more than just a performance. This is a message of fire, a celebration of art, connection, and the beginning of a new era,” said a representative of the JoHo Pyro team.

With the music Stormskärs Maja, the team will take viewers back to the ancient lives of Finnish fishermen living on offshore islands, truly reflecting the philosophy of symbiosis between humans and the natural environment in Nordic culture.

The “light magic” combining high-altitude fireworks display techniques and unique water cannon effects is a strength that helped Finland conquer the judges last season.
