Proudly "made in Da Nang " products
Loc Nhien Phat Production and Trading Cooperative (No. 4, Con Dau 15 Street, Hoa Xuan Ward) has many products in the top 20 of the national startup project development program, and is also an OCOP product, a typical industrial product of Da Nang city such as black garlic lemon basil syrup, black garlic green kumquat jam, nutritional grain bars, Loc Nhien boat noodles...
Ms. Ngo Thi Loc, Director of the Cooperative, said that she has spent a lot of time researching lemon basil leaves. This folk medicine is warm, spicy, non-toxic, and treats sore throat, phlegm, flu, cough, and hoarseness. After many failures, Ms. Loc has continuously adjusted and perfected the recipe for making lemon basil and black garlic syrup. When used, users completely stop the symptoms of runny nose, cough, and prolonged sore throat. Resistance is also significantly increased.
“The product is the crystallization of passion, aspiration, and pride in the folk traditions of the homeland. I am very excited that my products are welcomed by consumers nationwide. I am even happier when the products affirm their brand, increase their competitiveness, and are present in the national market,” said Ms. Loc.

Huong Que Production, Processing, Import-Export Trading Company Limited (Group 11, Da Son Block, Hoa Khanh Ward) has products that have achieved 4-star OCOP, and has affirmed its brand such as cinnamon insoles of all kinds; cinnamon slippers of all kinds; super fine cinnamon powder used in processing and preserving food and beverages.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the company, said that each year the company produces 30 tons of superfine cinnamon powder; nearly 2 million pairs of cinnamon insoles; 200,000 pairs of cinnamon mat slippers and about 50,000 pairs of cork and fabric slippers. The company's products have been certified by the competent authority for exclusive trademark registration and have been ISO certified for the environment.
Mr. Son said that in 2000, during a business trip to Tra My, he saw many cinnamon trees on the vast hillsides of ethnic minorities. When asked, the cinnamon trees were exploited and processed in raw form, with low economic value. At that time, Mr. Son thought that Tra My cinnamon was "high mountain jade cinnamon", one of the four precious herbs "ginseng - velvet - cinnamon - phu" but processing it raw would be a waste.
Mr. Son was concerned about increasing the value of cinnamon trees, so he initially experimented with the production of various types of cinnamon insoles. The first cinnamon insoles he gave to friends and relatives were all satisfied. In 2004, Huong Que Production, Processing, Import-Export Trading Company Limited was established and soon after, the products were well received by consumers.
Expanding export markets
Exporting goods to conquer demanding markets is the aspiration of many businesses, cooperatives and production facilities in Da Nang city.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son said that in June 2006, he boldly sent cinnamon insole samples abroad through a number of international fairs. Not long after that, the first customer from Germany contacted him, ordered the first batch of cinnamon insoles and has now become the company's traditional distributor in the international market.
All kinds of goods of Huong Que Production, Processing, Import-Export Trading Company Limited have conquered and expanded markets in demanding countries such as Germany, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Poland, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, and Korea.
“Building a brand requires first building product quality, corporate reputation, and business culture. In 2017, our cinnamon insoles were given as gifts by the Da Nang People's Committee to delegates attending the APEC Vietnam Summit in Da Nang. Each pair of cinnamon insoles delivered to consumers will help Tra My residents consume 40 grams of cinnamon powder. Our hope is that cinnamon will increasingly help improve the lives of people in the highlands,” said Mr. Son.
The products of Loc Nhien Phat Production and Trading Cooperative are of high quality and branded thanks to being processed from clean raw materials, without using food preservatives, additives, or chemicals, and are beneficial to consumers' health.
Ms. Ngo Thi Loc said that the cooperative is expanding its links with farmers in the communes of Thang Dien, Que Son, Duy Xuyen, Thang Truong, Thang An, Nui Thanh, etc. to proactively source raw materials for processing, thereby increasing the scale of production and trading of goods. The cooperative's expectation is to export goods to demanding markets to increase product value, increase revenue and profits.
“I have promoted products in countries like China and Thailand. I really hope to sign export orders in the near future,” said Ms. Loc.
The advantage in exporting "made in Da Nang" goods is that Vietnam has signed and implemented new generation FTAs (free trade agreements) such as CPTPP, EVFTA, UKVFTA.
According to Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, enterprises, production facilities and cooperatives in the city need to take advantage of FTAs to boost exports and expand markets. The Department of Industry and Trade encourages production entities to promote digital trade, invest in green technology, improve traceability to facilitate exports, enhance the position of "made in Da Nang" products, and increase value and economic efficiency in production and business.
