Survey and evaluate VietGAP model in Phu Giao district to support certification costs

The provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection has just organized a delegation to survey and inspect agricultural production models that have been granted VietGAP certification in Phu Giao district. Accordingly, the delegation inspected two typical models: Mr. Lai Tien Ha's household, residing in Vinh Tien hamlet, Vinh Hoa commune with a melon growing model and a green-skinned grapefruit growing cooperative in hamlet 4, Tan Long commune.

Through the on-site inspection, the delegation highly appreciated the green-skinned grapefruit cooperative as the unit is maintaining stable production according to VietGAP procedures, ensuring hygiene in the cultivation area, recording full production logs, and controlling input materials and output quality well. This model is considered eligible to propose support for certification costs according to regulations. Regarding Mr. Lai Tien Ha's household, the delegation noted that the household is currently temporarily suspending production and not maintaining farming activities at the time of the survey, therefore not meeting the support criteria according to Decision No. 11/2014/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee. The delegation guided Mr. Ha's household to continue maintaining production and complete the dossier when eligible.

At the meeting, the leader of the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection said that the department will synthesize the survey results, advise the appraisal council of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to consider and resolve support in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and correct policy objectives.
