Dong Nai promptly removes difficulties for farmers and businesses

Opinions at the conference focused on the following contents: Unstable agricultural product prices while agricultural material prices are increasing; the widespread use of fake and poor quality fertilizers, pesticides, and food that pose a danger to the community; effective control of agricultural input materials, especially toxic pesticides that affect the quality of agricultural products.

In addition, cooperatives and farmers hope to receive support in better accessing preferential capital sources in production; building agricultural product brands, consuming agricultural products, building export growing area codes; removing difficulties in investing in factories to preserve and process agricultural products right in the production area; investing in irrigation and infrastructure for rural areas...

Many opinions and recommendations from farmers were answered by provincial leaders as well as leaders of departments, branches and localities at the conference; the remaining opinions were recorded for further feedback and resolution.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that the dialogue conference between the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and farmers is an annual activity to listen to opinions and recommendations of farmers, cooperatives, and production enterprises on existing issues, difficulties, obstacles, and shortcomings in implementing agricultural, farmer, and rural policies.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, the provincial agricultural sector needs to have flexible plans and scenarios to adapt to objective fluctuations; proactively overcome the shortcomings of the sector to strive to exceed the growth target of the sector.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang also requested departments, branches, and the Provincial Farmers' Association to focus on implementing administrative reforms, cutting administrative procedures in a practical and effective manner, improving the investment and business environment, promptly handling issues of farmers and businesses. Attracting businesses to invest in developing agricultural production in the locality, forming concentrated production areas with scale and sustainable linkages.

Effectively deploy value chains of each industry; replicate organic farming models, apply high technology, build codes for growing areas and packaging facilities for export; diversify products and consumption markets; strengthen inspection and control of agricultural materials; effectively implement policies to support the development of agricultural production.
