Vietnam 1 and Finland compete in fireworks to open DIFF 2025 Festival

On the afternoon of February 28, at the Han River bank area, preparations for the fireworks display of the two teams participating in the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) were urgently underway.

Each team is determined to deliver an impressive performance, opening the biggest fireworks festival ever.

Vietnam Team 1 (Da Nang) - the host and also the opening team of the program, has prepared carefully with the determination to make an explosive impression on the opening night.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang, Captain of Vietnam Team 1, shared: “This year, we will display more than 5,000 fireworks of all kinds, creating more than 100 diverse and brilliant effects. The highlight of the team is the creative innovation in combining fireworks with music , aiming to convey the cultural quintessence of the people of Da Nang and the Vietnamese people - a culture rich in identity, both preserving long-standing traditions and integrating with the world.”

The team's strategy is carefully built through 4 thematic parts: Blending - Honoring - Integration - Pioneering & Glory. Each fireworks part will lead the audience through many emotions, from deep to burning, to touch the hearts of viewers and leave a deep impression.

Meanwhile, the Finnish team - the reigning DIFF champion - created great pressure when deploying the battlefield with more than 15,000 fireworks, including many impressive special fireworks.

“We want to surprise on the opening night,” said Finnish team captain Johan Hollaender. “It’s a big pressure as champions, but we’re well prepared and ready.”

Mr. Johan revealed that the Finnish team’s performance will be a “fireworks party” connecting the culture of the island regions, inspired by the hunting traditions of the people living on thousands of islands of their country. The theme of “Cultural Essence” in the performance also aims to bring “Northern Lights” to DIFF 2025, bearing the typical cultural mark of Finland.

The DIFF 2025 Organizing Committee said that preparations have been completed by over 70%, and the teams are ready for the opening night performances. With the participation of 10 teams, this is the largest fireworks festival ever, aiming to become one of the largest international fireworks festivals in the region.

With the advantage of being the host and many years of experience participating in DIFF, Vietnam Team 1 (Da Nang) promises to bring an explosive light party, affirming Da Nang's position in the hearts of the public. Meanwhile, the Finnish team, with the title of champion and top-notch fireworks techniques, will take the audience through many emotions, discovering memories of their country, people and unique culture./.
