General Phan Van Giang visits People's Armed Forces Heroes and former leaders of the Ministry of National Defense

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 / July 27, 2025), on July 21, a working delegation of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, visited and wished good health to General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Pham Van Tra, former Politburo member, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Party Committee (now the Central Military Commission), former Minister of National Defense; General Ngo Xuan Lich, former Politburo member, former Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, former Minister of National Defense and Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Dang Quan Thuy, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

After cordially inquiring about the health and well-being of the generals, General Phan Van Giang reported to them on the outstanding achievements in military and national defense tasks of the entire army in the past period, and the important tasks that the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense are focusing on implementing, especially regarding the policy of making the army lean, efficient, and strong, and reorganizing the army in accordance with the Politburo's guidelines and directions; and on the outstanding activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd.

On this occasion, General Phan Van Giang wished General Pham Van Tra, General Ngo Xuan Lich, and Lieutenant General Dang Quan Thuy continued good health and encouraged them to continue to pay attention to, monitor, and contribute valuable and heartfelt opinions to building a stronger Vietnam People's Army, successfully fulfilling the tasks entrusted by the Party, State, and people.
