Many large contractors failed to win bids worth over VND845 billion in Binh Phuoc

(PLVN) - The Binh Phuoc Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board has just announced the results of the selection of contractors to implement the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Construction Package through Binh Phuoc Province. Accordingly, 4/5 contractors were eliminated. The winning bidder is the Joint Venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation - NTV Thanh Phat Trading, Service and Construction Company Limited, which won the bid with a price of 845.486 billion VND.

Previously, on March 6, 2025, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board issued a bidding notice No. IB2500057961. The bid package has an estimated price of VND 880,718 billion under the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Construction Project through Binh Phuoc province (total investment of VND 1,474 billion, bid online, closing date March 17, 2025 with 5 contractors submitting bidding documents (HSDT).

During the issuance of the bidding documents (IBD), the Binh Phuoc Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board responded in writing to 32 requests for clarification from contractors and revised the IBD on March 6, 2025.

During the bidding process, 5 bidders submitted their bid documents and all passed the evaluation step on validity, meeting the requirements on capacity and experience, but 4 bidders were eliminated in the technical evaluation step, including: Son Hai Group Company Limited (bid price 732.28 billion VND); Cienco4 Group Joint Stock Company (bid price 800.693 billion VND); Joint venture of Dong Thuan Ha Company Limited - Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company - Hai Dang Joint Stock Company (bid price 804.062 billion VND); Joint venture of Dai Phong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company - Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation - Lu Gia Electrical Mechanical Joint Stock Company (bid price 836.099 billion VND).

On May 15, 2025, Truong Son - Thanh Phat Construction Joint Venture bid 845,486 billion VND (initial bid price after discount was 866,455 billion VND).

On May 22, 2025, the Binh Phuoc Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board announced the results of contractor selection. Accordingly, the joint venture of Truong Son Construction Corporation - NTV Thanh Phat Trading, Service and Construction Company Limited won the bid with a price of VND 845,486 billion, contract implementation period of 480 days, fixed unit price contract.

4/5 contractors eliminated in the technical evaluation step are all big names in the construction industry.
