Gia Lai Border Guard mobilizes forces to respond to storm No. 12

The Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard has just directed Border Guard stations to coordinate with local authorities to inform vessels operating in the sea areas of the location and direction of storm No. 12; at the same time, organize inspection and counting of vessels operating in the sea areas to prevent and proactively take shelter.

Up to now, the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command has called on 1,892 ships with 8,156 fishermen to anchor at local anchorages. Currently, 4,734 ships with over 33,130 fishermen have safely come ashore. According to statistics, there are still 1,041 fishing ships with 7,294 fishermen of Gia Lai province operating in sea areas outside the storm-affected area. These fishing ships have known the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm.

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 12, the Border Guard Stations sent 68 officers to the area to propagate and mobilize 1,432 fishermen; organized 22 times/75 officers and soldiers to patrol, control, and guide boats to anchor at Tam Quan, De Gi, and Quy Nhon ports to take shelter from the storm safely. At the same time, they increased the number of officers to vulnerable areas to directly propagate and mobilize people not to be subjective about the storm.
