After months of tireless work alongside the local people on the construction site, the image of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army has become familiar and deeply cherished by the people of Khe Tre commune, Hue City. Despite the shock and uncertainty following the historic flood, with homes destroyed and an uncertain future, the "Quang Trung Campaign" has rekindled faith and hope in the flood-affected people. The presence of the army officers and soldiers has truly provided immense motivation for the local population.

Throughout their more than a month-long stay at the construction site, the soldiers not only demonstrated dedication to their work but also left behind heartwarming impressions.

Officers and soldiers of the Hue City Military Command helped people build houses in Khe Tre commune, Hue City.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Khuyen, from Khe Tre commune, Hue City, shared: "It's impossible to fully describe the immense contributions of the army officers and soldiers. They came here to help the people with such enthusiasm and responsibility, regardless of the weather, rain or shine, and even on holidays. My family doesn't know what more to say than to express our gratitude for their efforts and affection. The people here love them very much. When they return to their units, the people will miss them dearly."

With the spirit of putting the people first and helping the people as a command from the heart of a soldier of Uncle Ho, the officers and soldiers of the Hue City Military Command devoted all their efforts to helping the people throughout the campaign. The dedication, hard work, and perseverance of the officers and soldiers not only helped the people have a sturdy house, but also fostered a strong bond between the military and the people. Although the work was difficult and arduous, their discipline in both work and life made the people appreciate the soldiers even more.

For Corporal Hoang Ngoc Anh, Battalion 1, Regiment 6, the experience of being a "builder of military uniforms" has become an unforgettable memory in his military life. As one of the soldiers with construction skills, each brick laid not only carried a sense of responsibility but also the feelings he had for the people in the flood-stricken areas.

Corporal Hoang Ngoc Anh shared: "I feel very fortunate to be one of the soldiers in our unit participating in the 'Quang Trung Campaign'. I always see this not just as a mission, but also as an expression of the Army's affection and responsibility towards the people. Therefore, throughout the mission, I and the other soldiers always strived with the highest spirit and responsibility. Although the work was somewhat arduous, we did not back down, hoping to complete the house construction for the people as soon as possible."

Captain Mai Cao Nguyen, Deputy Battalion Commander of Battalion 1, Regiment 6, Hue City Military Command, said: "For Battalion 1, after being assigned the task of assisting the people in Khe Tre commune, the unit concentrated its forces with the highest effort and with the spirit of 'overcoming the sun and conquering the rain'. The unit organized labor in 3 shifts, 4 teams, 'working day and night, working on holidays', 'working throughout holidays and Tet' to quickly complete the projects and hand them over to the people."

Recognizing the "Quang Trung Campaign" as a key political task, the Hue City Military Command immediately mobilized forces and resources, especially selecting officers and soldiers with construction skills to participate, right after the commencement of the project. With a spirit of "speed," the City Military Command directed its forces to race against time to complete the project on schedule, in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of National Defense .

To successfully complete their mission in the campaign, for over a month, despite prolonged rain and harsh construction conditions, the soldiers persevered on the construction site, diligently working on each item. Every brick contributed to bringing the campaign to a successful completion, in accordance with the directives, and at the same time, enhanced the noble image of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army always standing side by side with the people in times of difficulty and hardship.

Officers and soldiers visited and encouraged the local people.

Colonel Ha Van Ai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Hue City Military Command, said: "To expedite the construction progress in accordance with the directives of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of National Defense, the Hue City Military Command has focused its human and material resources on construction with the highest effort and determination, ensuring that the houses built are both sturdy and durable so that people can settle down in their new homes for the long term."

Concluding the "Quang Trung Campaign," what remains is not just the numbers regarding time, working days, or exceeding planned targets, but more profoundly, the humanistic value of the timely and correct policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and Army in caring for the people's lives.

"The Quang Trung Campaign" therefore not only had the significance of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, but also profoundly spread the spirit of solidarity and affection between the army and the people, further enhancing the beautiful image and noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.
