On March 24, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued guidelines for organizing the 2025 high school graduation exam.

This year, there are two groups of candidates participating in the exam, including high school graduates under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program (new program) and high school graduates under the 2006 General Education Program.

Candidates can register for the exam and register for high school graduation recognition online.
Candidates taking the graduation exam under the new program must take 4 exams, including: 2 compulsory exams: Math and Literature and 2 optional exams: subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages).
Candidates taking the old program will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
The exam results will be announced on July 16, one day earlier than last year.
