On May 25, the working group of the Ministry of Education and Training inspected the results of universal education and illiteracy eradication (PCGD, XMC) in Tien Yen district.
According to the Steering Committee for PCGD and XMC of Tien Yen district, in recent times, the district has proactively developed a work program and plan to implement PCGD and XMC in each stage and each year.
The PCGD and XMC Steering Committee of the district has assigned the responsibility of monitoring each area to each sector and each member, thereby achieving many positive results. The whole district currently has 35 schools and 1 VocationalEducation and Continuing Education Center that have been invested in and built spaciously, meeting accreditation and national standards, meeting the learning needs of the area.
By the end of 2022, the district has 11/11 communes and towns recognized as meeting the standards for preschool education for 5-year-old children. Tien Yen district has met the standards for preschool education for 5-year-old children. Regarding primary and secondary school education, the whole district has 11/11 communes and towns meeting the standards for primary education at level 3. Tien Yen district has met the standards for primary and secondary school education at level 3.
Regarding the XMC work, the district has mobilized teachers from preschools, general education, and continuing education institutions to participate in teaching XMC in the area, meeting the regulations according to the 2005 Education Law and the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2009 Education Law. Through assessment, 11/11 communes and towns in the district have met the XMC level 2 standards. Tien Yen district has met the XMC level 2 standards.
At the working session, the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Tien Yen district in the work of PCGD and XMC. At the same time, it was suggested that in the coming time, the district continue to promote propaganda work to raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society for the work of PCGD and XMC; promote the effectiveness of the activities of the Steering Committee for PCGD and XMC at all levels. Continue to increase resources for investment in facilities, teaching equipment, and have a plan to supplement the teaching staff with sufficient quantity and synchronous structure to ensure the implementation of the new curriculum and textbooks. Create conditions for the participating teaching staff to meet the standards according to the provisions of the 2019 Education Law. Increase the opening of XMC classes, focusing on level 2 illiterate people.
