Ministry of Transport sets up 3 inspection teams for North-South expressway project

3 delegations will inspect investors, project management boards, agencies and units assigned to implement the project.

The decision also clearly states the inspection period: From the project commencement date to May 30, 2023 with an inspection period of 15 working days from the date of decision implementation (June 13). This means that the inspection teams are responsible for implementing and reporting the results in June.

There will be 8 contents inspected by the inspection teams including: Site clearance work; Work of establishing and approving overall construction progress, detailed construction progress; work of establishing and approving construction drawing design, construction organization measures.

Mobilization of human resources, equipment and machinery of construction contractors and supervision consultants; Material supply situation.

Progress of acceptance, payment, disbursement; Process of acceptance, payment, settlement; Organizational model, decentralization, authorization of project implementation by the investor and project management board.

The North-South Expressway Project Phase 2 is divided into 12 independently operated component projects, including the following sections: Ha Tinh - Quang Tri (267km), Quang Ngai - Nha Trang (353km) and Can Tho - Ca Mau (109km), passing through 12 provinces and cities.

On all 12 sections, the divergence phase is invested with a roadbed width of 17m with 4 lanes, design speed of 100-120km/h.
