Arrange staff according to actual situation

Specifically, the Ministry of National Defense received a petition from voters of Bac Kan province (former province, now merged into Thai Nguyen), stating that many children in the province are currently studying at military schools such as the Political Officer School, Army Officer School... or are working in the military but are not assigned to work in their hometown.

Voters proposed regulations to create conditions for soldiers to work near home to stabilize their lives and serve long-term with peace of mind.

Responding to this issue, the Ministry of National Defense said that the mobilization of cadres and the arrangement of graduates from academies and officer schools, and their placement in accordance with their residential areas, is a legitimate aspiration of cadres, in order to implement the policy of supporting cadres' families, helping cadres feel secure in their work, in accordance with the policies of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee, the Ministry of National Defense, and the annual guidance of the General Department of Politics.

However, according to the Ministry of National Defense, the military's tasks are of a military nature. The mobilization of cadres, arrangement and assignment of work to graduates must be based on the cadre's training major, staffing needs, the current number of cadres of each unit and task requirements, ensuring that there is no overlapping or surplus cadres; for recruited cadets who are ethnic minorities of military regions, they must be transferred to the military region.

Graduates of the training of platoon-level cadres, including the Political Officer School, the Army Officer School, and the Ministry of National Defense, are assigned to units under the ministry; the units will arrange and assign cadres to suit the actual situation.

Through review and statistical reports of agencies, units and schools in recent years, the number of officers graduating from training annually with permanent residence in Bac Kan province exceeds the staffing needs of units stationed in the area.

Therefore, according to regulations, officers will be transferred to missing units in other provinces of Military Region 1 or units outside the military region.

Excellent and good graduates will be given priority in consideration of their wishes when assigned to units.

According to regulations, military school students who graduate from university are awarded the rank of second lieutenant; those with good academic and training achievements are considered for military ranks from lieutenant to captain depending on the training subject.

College graduates are awarded the professional military rank of second lieutenant; those with good academic and training achievements are considered for the professional military rank of first lieutenant.

Graduates are assigned to units to take up positions and receive salaries according to regulations.

Excellent and good graduates are given priority in consideration when assigned to units.

According to regulations, all students must strictly comply with the assignment of work after graduation. The Ministry of National Defense assigns work based on the training objectives and needs of each unit.

1 in 18 to get into military schools

In particular, the Military Medical Academy has more than 3,200 qualified applications, an enrollment target of 180, and a competition ratio of approximately 1/18.
