Towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on July 17, in Nam Dong commune, the above coordinating units started construction of 2 gratitude houses in the area.
The beneficiaries of the project are the families of Mr. Nong Hai Tam and Mr. Nong Van Thao, Nam Dong commune. The families are beneficiaries of the policy and have difficult circumstances in the locality. Each house is supported with 80 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of Army Corps 20 - Saigon New Port Corporation said that building gratitude houses for families with difficult policies is an activity demonstrating the tradition of "remembering the source of drinking water" and "repaying gratitude" that the unit has carried out for many years.

In Dak Nong province alone (now Lam Dong province), since the signing of the program to coordinate propaganda on seas and islands, the Corporation has supported the construction of 28 gratitude houses for families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids, martyrs, and poor households; supported 15 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers (currently still taking care of 8 mothers regularly); presented hundreds of gifts and scholarships to poor students, prestigious people in ethnic minority communities, and families of policy beneficiaries. In 2025 alone, the unit will build 6 gratitude houses, each worth 80 million VND.

The Corporation commits to closely coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, local authorities and families to speed up construction progress, ensure project quality, with a spirit of urgency, thoughtfulness and responsibility so that people can soon settle down in a new house, full of love, warmth and safety.
