Inauguration of the restoration project of Tam Co Cave - Road 20 Quyet Thang

VHO - On the morning of November 14, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held an inauguration ceremony for the restoration of the special national relic of Tam Co Cave - Road 20 Quyet Thang (Thuong Trach commune, Quang Tri province), in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.

Attending the event were Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, wife of General Secretary To Lam ; leaders of central ministries and branches; local leaders and a large number of relatives of martyrs, former youth volunteers, veterans and people.

Hang Tam Co is an indomitable symbol of revolutionary heroism, and at the same time an important destination in the tourism development strategy associated with heritage conservation of Quang Tri province.

Before the inauguration ceremony, delegates offered incense and flowers to commemorate the 13 martyrs who died on November 14, 1972. This was a ritual expressing deep gratitude to the previous generation and was the starting point for the journey of gratitude at the relic.

The restoration of Hang Tam Co was carried out in 47 days and completed on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the death of 13 martyrs. During the construction process, the unit discovered some more martyrs' remains at the old cave entrance; the province solemnly organized a visitation, memorial and burial ceremony on November 8, completing the common grave according to traditional architecture.

VHO - On the morning of September 19, in Truong Ninh commune (Quang Tri), the People's Committee of Quang Tri province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the project to restore and embellish the relic of Long Dai Ferry Terminal II - where 16 heroic youth volunteers sacrificed their lives in September 1972.

This renovation project includes renovating the entire campus, memorial temple, and landscape in the direction of "green ecology", using environmentally friendly materials, suitable for the natural landscape and cultural identity. Therefore, the Eight Ladies Cave is not only preserved as a special historical relic but also becomes a "red address" for patriotic traditional education activities and developing gratitude and experiential tourism on Route 20 Quyet Thang.

Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, expressed his deep gratitude to General Secretary To Lam and his wife; acknowledged the support of leaders of ministries, branches, localities and the contributions of construction units, organizations and individuals who joined hands to complete the project.
