Miss Ha Truc Linh shared at the press conference after her coronation that she did not expect to win the highest position. The beauty had a good sleep after her journey to participate in Miss Vietnam.
"When I stood on stage, I hugged and encouraged my mother to stop crying. My parents reminded me to stay healthy to continue my journey at Miss Vietnam.
I was surprised because the contestants recognized me and predicted that I would be crowned. The moment everyone rushed out to hug and congratulate me, I burst into tears," Truc Linh shared.
Mr. Phuc - Ha Truc Linh's father said the family was surprised when his daughter won the highest title of the contest. The sister of Miss Vietnam 2024 did not know what to say other than to express her pride for her sister. What she feels happiest about is that her sister is growing up every day, from a shy, confident girl to the winner of Vietnam's top beauty contest.
Before the final night, Mr. Phuc and his wife, along with some relatives, took the train from Phu Yen to Hue to cheer on Truc Linh. Both of them are elementary school teachers and do not know much about entertainment events. When Truc Linh said she wanted to compete in a beauty pageant, Mr. Phuc advised her to carefully research the program and understand the criteria.
"Truc Linh received help from many friends, who lent her clothes and shoes. She asked me for money twice, once for 1 million VND, once for 600,000 VND," said Mr. Phuc.
At the final round in late April in Hanoi , her family could not come to cheer for the beauty because her grandmother was seriously ill. A few weeks later, Truc Linh was depressed when she heard that her beloved grandmother, who had been close to her since childhood, had passed away.
Truc Linh is 1.72m tall, with measurements of 80-59-95cm, but what makes many people admire her is not only her appearance but also her extensive academic and activity achievements over the years.
Born into a family with a traditionof education , Truc Linh is considered by her friends to be a "good child, good student", proactive in studying and active in union movements.
She was a class monitor for 10 years during her school years, won an award in extracurricular activities to improve English proficiency for teenagers, was a member of the Executive Committee of the Chu Van An Secondary and High School Youth Union and was recognized as an excellent Youth Union member for many consecutive years.
In the behavioral round - one of the important factors that helped her win the highest position, Truc Linh demonstrated her ability to think clearly when answering questions about artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital age.
"If we don't know how to ask questions, don't know how to 'give orders' to AI properly, AI cannot produce truly quality results," she affirmed. From the perspective of a marketing student, Truc Linh believes that AI is a useful tool but humans need to play a proactive role, from creative thinking to the ability to continuously learn to master technology, creating a sustainable difference.
