Reporting on the additional results of the project to evaluate the reserves of marble for tiling in the marble quarry in Ban Nghe area, Yen Thang commune, Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province, Mr. Hoang Quang Nam - Deputy Director of Bac Hemisphere Technology Joint Stock Company, the consulting unit, said that the exploration objective is to evaluate the quality and calculate the reserves of marble with block sizes from 0.1 m³ to less than 0.4 m³ for tiling and making fine art products, marble with block sizes under 0.1 m3 in gray-white color for making calcium carbonate powder (gray-white powder) and making common construction materials in the licensed mining area of 12.4 hectares.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Director of Hung Dai Son Construction, Production and Trade Services Co., Ltd. (Yen Bai), the investor, said that the company has more than 20 years of experience in the mineral exploitation and processing industry, specifically in the exploitation of block stone, reclaimed stone (supplying for the sawing and tiling industry, powder grinding industry), fine art stone...; exploitation and processing of construction stone, ready-mixed concrete, supplying to contractors, road construction projects, housing, mass organizations, specific key projects (To Mau bridge, inter-village and commune roads, districts such as Minh Tien, An Phu, To Mau, Yen Thang, Minh Xuan,...).
With decades of experience as above, Hung Dai Son Construction Production and Trading Service Company Limited realized that, in order to fully utilize mineral resources, increase the economic value of the mine, increase revenue for the state budget and contribute to environmental protection, in 2022, the Company sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on the approval of additional reserves for stone blocks for cladding with sizes of 0.1 m³ to 0.4 m³ as common construction materials at the marble mine in Ban Nghe area, Yen Thang commune, Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province and was approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Quy Kien and the Council members agreed to approve the reserve of marble blocks from 0.1 m³ to under 0.4 m³ for tiling and fine arts at levels 121 and 122 as 2.205 million m³; the reserve of white marble blocks under 0.1 m³ for calcium carbonate powder at levels 121 and 122 as 12.222 million tons; the reserve of gray-white marble blocks under 0.1 m³ for calcium carbonate powder (gray-white powder) at levels 121 and 122 as 3.428 million tons; the reserve of gray-white marble blocks under 0.1 m³ for common construction materials at levels 121 and 122 as 1.595 million m³.
Reporting on the results of the exploration to upgrade the reserves of titanium-zircon mineral deposits in Hong Phong commune and Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province, Mr. Phan Thanh Nghi - Deputy Head of the Central Central Geological Federation (Vietnam Geological Department), the consulting unit, said that the exploration results have clarified the geological characteristics of the mine, geological characteristics of the ore body, morphological characteristics, size, quality characteristics and distribution of titanium-zircon mineral deposits in the permitted mining area; determining the reserves of titanium-zircon mineral deposits of level 122 to meet the prescribed reliability.
Besides, the hydrogeological and engineering geological conditions of the mine are relatively simple, and the hydrogeological and engineering geological research has met the requirements for exploitation design.
Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien assessed that the Central Central Geological Federation has completed a large amount of work related to surveying, geology, drilling, analysis and sample collection and classification. The Deputy Minister and Council members unanimously approved the reserves of titanium-zircon mineral sand at level 122, details include: The reserve upgraded from the resource block to level 122 is 564,053 tons and the reserve of sand for construction materials at the waste dump from cote +40m and above is 29.822 million m³.
At the meeting, the Council also approved the Report on the results of the exploration of Ha Lam coal mine, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province, invested by Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) and Mining Geology Joint Stock Company - TKV as the consulting unit, with coal reserves and resources from the exposed seam to the -750m level (including coal reserves and resources from the exposed seam to the -600m level approved by the National Mineral Reserves Assessment Council in 2019, excluding coal reserves and resources within the scope of granted mining licenses) of 79.148 million tons, of which level 121 reserves are 1.109 million tons; level 122 reserves are 68.239 million tons; level 333 resources are 9.8 million tons.
Regarding the exploration results of lead-zinc ore in Son Do area, Xuan Van commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, the Council approved the total reserves and resources of level 122 and 333 ore as 73,900 tons of lead-zinc ore.
