VinFast upgrades battery capacity for Minio Green for free with super cheap electricity

Specifically, VinFast will increase the capacity of the high-voltage battery equipped in the Minio Green from 15.2 kWh to 18.5 kWh, thereby increasing the driving range after each full charge from 170 km to 210 km (according to NEDC standards). VinFast will also convert the electrical and electronic systems and electric motor from 100V to 400V to increase charging efficiency and vehicle performance.

VinFast is offering a free battery upgrade for the ultra-affordable Minio Green electric scooter.

As a result, the charging time from 10% to 70% has been shortened to just over 30 minutes, providing better vehicle performance and convenience for users. The development of these additional features will extend the vehicle delivery deadline by approximately 4 months compared to the original plan. VinFast will bear all additional costs due to changes in technical structure, components, and adjustments to the production plan; customers will not incur any additional expenses.

VinFast proactively made the upgrade decision based on customer feedback and its efforts in research, development, and optimization of the vehicle.

VinFast will upgrade its technology, increasing the driving range by 40km and reducing charging time from 10% to 70% to just 30 minutes.

The expected delivery date is December 2025, a delay of 4 months compared to the pre-upgrade date. If a customer has already placed a deposit but does not wish to postpone delivery, VinFast will assist them in transferring their deposit to another model or refund the deposit amount along with a fee equivalent to the bank's savings interest rate calculated from the time of deposit.

The Minio Green is a small urban electric vehicle with a 2-door, 4-seat design, suitable for both personal transportation and commercial transport services. Priced at 269 million VND (including battery), it is eligible for current VinFast promotions in the programs “Intense Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future 3rd Edition”, “For a Green Capital”, “For a Green Ho Chi Minh City”, and includes free battery charging at V-Green public charging stations until the end of June 2020.
