Specifically, VinFast will increase the capacity of the high-voltage battery equipped for the Minio Green from 15.2 kWh to 18.5 kWh, thereby increasing the distance the car can travel after each full charge from 170 km to 210 km (according to NEDC standards). VinFast will also convert the electrical - electronic system and electric motor from 100V to 400V to increase charging efficiency and vehicle performance.
Thanks to that, the battery charging time from 10% to 70% is shortened to about 30 minutes, providing better performance for the vehicle and creating convenience for users. Developing these additional features will extend the vehicle delivery date by about 4 months compared to the old plan. All additional costs due to changes in technical structure, components and production plan adjustments will be borne by VinFast, customers will not incur any additional costs.
The decision to upgrade was proactively made by VinFast based on customer feedback and efforts to research, develop, and optimize the vehicle.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang - Deputy General Director of VinFast Global Sales said: “With the philosophy of Putting customers at the center, VinFast is always open to listening and ready to adjust and upgrade products and services to best meet the needs of customers. By increasing the travel distance to 210 km/charge and shortening the charging time from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes, I believe that future owners of Minio Green will always feel satisfied throughout the time of using the car”.
The expected delivery date is December 2025, 4 months later than before the upgrade. In case the customer has made a deposit but does not want to delay the delivery date, VinFast will support the customer to convert the deposit to another car model or refund the deposit amount along with a fee equivalent to the bank's savings interest rate calculated from the time of deposit.
Minio Green is a small urban electric vehicle, with a 2-door, 4-seat design, suitable for both personal travel needs of customers and transportation service businesses. The car is priced at 269 million VND (with battery), applying current preferential policies of VinFast in the programs "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit - For the 3rd Green Future", "For a Green Capital", "For a Green Ho Chi Minh City" and free battery charging at V-Green public charging stations until the end of June 2020.
