On December 9, Vingroup announced that it had just signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Telangana state - India at the Telangana Rising global summit, with a proposal to invest about 3 billion USD in each phase to develop a multi-industry ecosystem in this locality.
Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate to research strategic cooperation opportunities in many fields such as smart cities, manufacturing, healthcare, education , tourism, renewable energy, charging station infrastructure... on a total area of about 2,500 hectares in Telangana, in addition to green taxi services.
Specifically, in the field of green transportation, Vingroup proposed to deploy the first large-scale SM Green electric taxi model in India in Telangana state, combining a smart mobility service platform. The group can also study potential opportunities related to the initiative to produce electric vehicles in the future.
In the field of urban development, Vingroup aims to build a smart, sustainable metropolis on a scale of 1,080 hectares, providing accommodation for about 200,000 residents. The project is expected to create about 10,000 jobs, will include low-rise and high-rise buildings, and an international-class "all-in-one" utility system.
In the field of social infrastructure, the group proposed to develop a system of essential works on a planned land fund of about 70 hectares, including Vinschool inter-level schools, Vinmec international general hospital and V-Green electric vehicle charging station network.

In the field of tourism and entertainment, Vingroup, through VinWonders, hopes to build a complex of theme parks, zoos, and semi-wild animal sanctuaries on an area of about 350 hectares, contributing to the development of Telangana's tourism infrastructure and creating a large number of jobs in the locality.
In the field of renewable energy, Vingroup, through VinEnergo, proposed to invest in a 500 MW solar power project on an area of about 485 hectares, providing a stable green power source for urban areas, industrial parks and the entire electrified transport ecosystem.
In addition to the above items, Vingroup also proposed to participate in developing strategic connecting infrastructure routes to strengthen regional connectivity and improve urban space development capacity.
Telangana pledged to support the search and facilitate the allocation of suitable land plots for each item, coordinate in the overall planning and project structure, handle procedures, and mobilize relevant agencies to prepare necessary connecting infrastructure. The state government also considered applying incentives according to current policies and accompanied Vingroup in the research and implementation process to ensure the progress and effectiveness of cooperation projects.
The MoU with Telangana is an important foundation for Vingroup to realize large-scale investment projects, directly contributing to the state's economic growth and enhancing the footprint of Vietnamese enterprises in the international market. The cooperation between Vingroup and Telangana also contributes to strengthening the Vietnam-India economic relationship, promoting connections between the business communities of the two countries and opening up opportunities for deeper cooperation in the future.
